The LIO Consulting Story

Founded in 2024 by husband-and-wife team Leslie and Rani Pillay, Lio Consulting was established with a vision to modernise South Africa’s training industry while preserving the timeless values of integrity, excellence, and meaningful education. Based in Johannesburg, this family-run company provides elite, results-driven training solutions for corporate clientele across a variety of industries. Built on a foundation of passion, professionalism, and years of collective experience, Lio Consulting is dedicated to developing innovative learning methods that meet the evolving needs of modern organisations. Through a balance of technology, personal engagement, and measurable outcomes, the company continues to set a new benchmark for quality, relevance, and impact within the training and development sector.

Leslie Pillay, who holds an MBA in Strategic Financial Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, a Management Advanced Diploma, and is a Registered Assessor and Senior Facilitator, brings extensive expertise from his accomplished career in corporate finance and training. His experience includes senior roles at Sanlam, Silica Financial Services, Alexander Forbes, Investec Property Group, and Wasserman Katz. Rani Pillay, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management, contributes a strong background from her government service roles. Together, they lead Lio Consulting with a shared passion for empowering individuals and organisations through forward-thinking, high-quality training that bridges traditional educational values with the evolving needs of the modern workplace.
